Have you gotten your seasonal Flu Shot?
The Center for Disease Control reports "The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year."
Doctor's Corner

Question:
How can I stay healthy this winter season?
Answered by Tiffany Molanari PA-C:
1. Get your seasonal flu shot. The seasonal shot will prevent you from getting the seasonal flu and provide immunity for future flu's.

2. Prevent the spread of illness through washing your hands frequently and wiping down shopping carts before and after use.

3. Get adequate sleep. Adequate sleep is 6 to 8 hours nightly. Maintaining healthy sleep hygiene will help to prevent becoming run down and provides your body with the rest it needs to fight off illness.

4. Good Nutrion not only helps prevent illness but also helps you to stay healthy. For more information on healthy eating habits go to:

If you have any of the following symptoms you should see your family pracitioner: a fever that does not decrease with Tylenol, difficulty breathing or symptoms that persist for 7 to 10 days or worsen. Infants under 9 months with a fever should see their family practitioner immediately.
